The popularity of the Signatec PXDAC4800 can be attributable to its multi-channel capability, wide bandwidth, high-speed variable rates, large memory, and fast PCIe interface.

Each PXDAC4800 features 4 DC-coupled channels with up to 590 MHz bandwidth and 14-bit or 8-bit sampling rates up to 1.2 GS/s. By adding additional AWG cards to the system, expanded channel counts can be achieved with synchronized external trigger and clock inputs.

The 1 GB onboard RAM signal memory provides ample room for large, complex user generated waveform patterns. The PCIe x8 interface to the host PC dramatically increases the speed it takes to load waveform data onto the card. With the PXDAC4800, it takes less than 10 seconds to fill the 1 GB memory with 1,000 waveforms, versus other USB or Ethernet AWGs that may take as long as 10-15 minutes.

The PXDAC4800 is supplied with a complete Windows GUI Playback Scope App utilized for generating signal data output, to playback data loaded in RAM, or to stream playback of signal data files from the host PC.

Also included are complete API Software Development Kits for C/C++, MATLAB, and LabVIEW for custom application development.
